Silver to Team Spain Women: I was told they would have a full team here, including Diana Plaza Martin and Elizabeth Valle. But alas there was only a men's squad.

Nadia Comanechi. Very responsive to the fans at the gate. She would come back out several times to pose at the urging of the fans. Runner up goes to Elena Produnova. As usual, she signed away until security hauled her off.

Yuri Chechi. He wouldn't leave the floor after team prelims and was upset at his low HB score. But he was a very different person with his kid! I am glad he went out with a gold medal!

The Swiss bus drivers. Driving big tour busses through small alleys where no sane person would even drive a mid size pickup through! And then this one guy pulled off an incredible Y turn into a tiny parking lot with a double decker bus! I gave him a 9.975 (10 start value)!

"Best acknowledgement to fans and countrymen after a routine" award

Japan. They were also very festive as the men boarded the bus. Very happy to be going to the team finals.
